The policy below describes the data handling that applies to the Plenova mobile app, published by Pool Studio.
1. Information we collect (mobile app)
1.1 What is personal data?
Personal data means any information related to an identified or identifiable natural person. It includes identifiers (name, email, phone), location data (GPS, IP address), online identifiers (username, cookies), and specific elements (age, gender, preferences).
Plenova does not collect any direct identification data unless the user voluntarily contacts support.
1.2 Types of data collected
Data sent directly by the user:
- Plant photos (temporarily transmitted via a Vercel proxy and analyzed by Google Gemini)
- Data tied to saved plants (custom names, types, watering dates, notes)
- Custom criteria (colors, style, lighting, presence of pets)
Data collected automatically:
- Usage statistics (frequency, preferences, interactions)
- Technical data (device model, operating system, language, country)
Data collected through third-party services:
- Google Gemini for AI analysis
- RevenueCat for in-app purchase management
- Google Fonts for typefaces
1.3 Use of access permissions
Three permissions require explicit consent:
- Camera: for plant identification and diagnosis
- Precise location: to deliver context-aware advice
- Notifications: for watering and care reminders
2. How we use the collected data
2.1 Service analysis and optimization
The data lets us understand user preferences, fix bugs, and improve technical performance.
2.2 Delivering core features
Plant identification, health diagnosis, personalized recommendations, bouquet generator, seasonal advice, and Premium subscription management via RevenueCat.
2.3 Notifications and reminders
Care data is used to generate watering reminders (free version) and advanced reminders (Premium). All notifications can be turned off in the app settings.
2.4 Compliance with legal obligations
Your data may be processed in response to a valid legal request or court order.
3. Sharing and disclosure of data
3.1 Sharing with third-party service providers
